Despite being an animal of warmer climes,the Maned Wolves seemed to be enjoying the snowy covering to their enclosure.

Chrysocyon brachyurus

The Maned Wolf is found in open and semi-open habitats, especially grasslands with scattered bushes and trees, in south, central-west and south-eastern Brazil,where its long legs allows it to see above the long grass.

Its diet is varied,being split evenly between meat and vegetable matter,including fruits.

Such a majestic animal, and you captured it beautifully. It's a shame they were inside the entire day when we were there - both of them were hiding in the little enclosure all the time, even though we kept coming back to see them.
Amazing shot, anyway :heart:

My local Zoo has a pair,but they are rather elusive so i was pleased to get this :)..

That's awesome! The zoos close to my house don't have anything like that. Although, there are hyenas at one of them. :)

Hyenas are not that common,i have only seen them in one zoo so i am jealous of that :)..

Wow your zoo has lots of cool stuff. I haven't even heard of a lot of these. The two zoos nearest my house has just the normal stuff. Lions, tigers, bears, (oh my. :D) penguins, meerkats, that kind of stuff. Although, one of them has a snow leopard. You never see it though. :(

Its pretty good,the bird of prey display is really good,we have been that often the falconers know our names :lol:.

Maybe its a stuffed one they just put out occasionally :)..
