Brace yourselves for the rant of the day!.
Dawn and I visited a local Country Park today,it has a
recreation of an Anglo-Saxon village and are running their annual Ring Quest event(what can I say,we wanted pics of Orcs and Rangers)..

Anyway as we arrived in the busy carpark(remember that bit...the BUSY car park,,) we saw a group of Bird Photographers standing by their kit over the far side,my curiosity was piqued..what had brought them all here, what could possible be lurking in the carpark?..lots of lens envy for sure,so I thought I would go find out what the news was..maybe a very rare bird had decided to brave the busy car park..
As I wandered over after getting my gear on,I had both my cameras with me and the ruckie full of our gear(obviously a fellow photographer),being careful to keep out of their line of sight..as the lenses were pointing at a small grassed area in the centre of the carpark,(with people and cars passing between the cameras and the grassy knoll)..they all assumed the position on the ground behind their respective weaponry,I stood back some 5m or so behind them,a large bank behind me ensured I was not skylining and being dressed in drab clothes(my default-setting when out shooting) I wasnt standing out from the bank behnd me.
I waited a few seconds, looking in the direction of the lenses to try and see what the excitement was about(thoughts of bagging a rare bird were beginning to form in my head) one of them rolled onto his side and said:
"Can you squat-down before you frighten it" (10 seconds ago they were ALL standing up) remember the BUSY carpark bit..
I asked quietly,"what are you shooting?".
The terse answer was "Birds!!"..
I answered"I can see that,I am not an idiot"..
The reply was"well, why did you ask then?"
At this point,a yellow car passed between them and the grassy knoll...hmmmm, I walked off, bemused at their behaviour and attitude to a fellow Wildlife photographer..
I now know the collective term for a group of Twitcher Photographers :its an Rudeness Of Photographers
